MAXIMALISM

An accumulation of all my experiences and beliefs, for me painting has become more than an expression of myself, the illustration of ideas, or simply an arrangement of form. It is an amalgam of all these concerns, and an ongoing process of discovery and evolution that demands a union of intuition and intellect. This allows me to explore many diverse issues and create an "Art of Questions". Working in this manner I am able to draw upon the visible world for inspiration, and also the personal, symbolic, and imaginative one within to form a transcription of inner and outer awareness, and an "Icon of Reconciliation".
